Vetted lenders only
We screen every lending partner before they join the platform. If an offer reaches you, the lender behind it is licensed and has been checked.
Say yes to the right financing
Banquets, photography, rings, and the honeymoon add up fast. Credible.sg is a loan-matching platform, not a lender: we help you find the best and lowest loan rate in Singapore from licensed lenders, so more of your budget goes to the big day and less to interest.
Illustrative example. Your actual wedding loan offer depends on your profile.
How it works
Tell us the amount you need for the venue, vendors, or honeymoon. It takes about five minutes and costs nothing.
We send your request to licensed lending partners whose criteria fit your profile.
Review interest rates, fees, and repayment schedules side by side, so more of your budget goes to the wedding, not to interest.
Accept the offer you like, verify your identity in person with the lender, and collect your loan ahead of your big day.
Plan before you borrow
Move the sliders to get a feel for what a loan would cost each month. The calculator tops out at 4% a month because that is the legal cap for licensed moneylenders in Singapore. Your actual offers will state their exact rates and fees.

There are two regulated ways to fund a wedding loan in Singapore. Banks and finance companies answer to the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), while licensed moneylenders are regulated by the Ministry of Law. Rates, requirements, and approval speed vary between the two, so it pays to compare. Comparing offers from more than one licensed lender is the most reliable way to find the best and lowest rate available for your profile.
| Lender type | Typical advertised rates | Regulated by | Best suited for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Banks & finance companies | Around 2.5%β6% p.a. flat (effective interest rate is higher) | Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) | Couples with stable income who meet minimum income requirements and can plan ahead |
| Licensed moneylenders | Up to 4% per month, capped by law | Ministry of Law (Registry of Moneylenders) | Couples who need a smaller amount quickly, closer to the wedding date |
These figures are examples, not an offer. Actual rates and fees are set by the lender you choose. By law, licensed moneylenders can charge at most 4% interest per month, 4% late interest per month, an admin fee of up to 10% of the principal, and late fees of up to S$60 a month. Total charges can never exceed the amount you borrowed. Before signing anything, check the lender on the Ministry of Law registry.
Why Credible.sg
We screen every lending partner before they join the platform. If an offer reaches you, the lender behind it is licensed and has been checked.
No need to apply to lenders one by one and repeat the same paperwork each time. Apply once and let the offers, and the lowest rate, come to you.
Every offer spells out its rates, fees, and repayment schedule upfront, so you know exactly what you are agreeing to before you book a single vendor.
A wedding loan is simply a personal loan taken out to cover wedding-related costs: the banquet, photography and videography, the rings, bridal package, or the honeymoon. There is no separate loan product called a "wedding loan" in Singapore; lenders price and assess it the same way they would any unsecured personal loan, based on your income and credit history.
Because weddings involve many vendors and deposits with different due dates, a single lump-sum loan can be easier to plan around than paying for everything on credit cards at a much higher rate. As with any loan, it works best when the repayment fits comfortably in your and your partner's combined budget after the wedding.
Weddings in Singapore commonly run from the low tens of thousands into six figures depending on guest count and venue, so it is worth deciding upfront how much of that you want to fund with savings versus financing. A loan can make sense to bridge a gap between deposits due now and savings or angbao collected later, as long as the repayment does not strain your finances as a newly married couple.
It makes less sense to borrow for costs you could trim without much sacrifice. Before applying, set a firm budget with your partner, decide which costs are non-negotiable, and only borrow what is left after your savings and expected angbao collections.
Compare loans on the effective interest rate (EIR), not the advertised flat rate. The EIR includes fees and the effect of the repayment schedule, so it shows what the loan really costs. A low flat rate can turn out more expensive than it looks. Every offer you receive through Credible.sg states its terms, so you can put them side by side.
Before you accept anything, check that the instalment still fits your combined budget after rent or mortgage, bills, and daily essentials. Borrow the smallest amount that covers what you actually need, keep the tenure as short as you can comfortably afford, and make sure every fee is written into the contract before you sign.

It depends on the lender and your income. Banks commonly lend up to several times your monthly income if you meet their criteria, while licensed moneylenders follow borrowing caps set by the Ministry of Law based on your annual income. Most requests on Credible.sg fall between S$1,000 and S$100,000.
Compare offers from more than one licensed lender on the effective interest rate (EIR), not the advertised flat rate. Credible.sg matches you with licensed lending partners and lets you compare their real rates and fees side by side, so you can find the lowest one you qualify for before you book vendors.
Banks generally offer the lowest rates but take longer to approve and require you to meet minimum income criteria. Licensed moneylenders approve faster and are more flexible, useful if a vendor deposit is due soon, but charge more for that speed. Comparing both tells you which is actually cheaper for your situation.
Each lender sets its own policy on joint applications. Some lenders assess applications individually even for a shared expense like a wedding. Whoever applies through Credible.sg will be matched with lenders based on their own income and credit profile.
The application takes about five minutes, and offers can arrive the same day. Once you accept an offer, the lender will ask you to verify your identity in person before releasing the money. Moneylenders often disburse on the day of approval, which helps if a vendor deposit is due soon.
