What “best” should mean
A good comparison looks beyond a promotional rate. Check the principal you receive, interest method, EIR, processing fee, late charges, tenure and total payable amount. Compare offers at the same loan amount and tenure where possible.
A lender that is suitable for one borrower may not suit another. Income stability, residency, existing commitments and the amount requested all affect assessment and pricing.
Verify before you visit
Use the current Ministry of Law Registry of Moneylenders to match the lender’s legal name, address, telephone number and website. Licensed moneylenders must conduct face-to-face identity verification at an approved place of business.
Choose affordability over urgency
Fast approval is not a reason to accept unaffordable terms. Borrow the smallest amount you need, calculate the monthly repayment and keep a buffer for essential expenses.
